Beautiful Day.

It was exactly as I had imagined it. Sure, we were in the 6th floor lounge at Christ Hospital, my poor dad had 4 staples in the back of his head, and we were all super sleep-deprived and not looking our best. But it ended up being perfect anyway. Telling my family our news was beyond exciting for me; I was actually nervous as my mom opened her frame. But the incredible shock and elation on the faces of everyone relieved every bit of anxiety I had. It was all captured on video (thank you, Greg) and I've watched it back 3 times already - makes me smile every time.

This beautiful scene came after another one - our first OB appt. Everything went smoothly! Our doctor didn't seem concerned about anything. And surprise - she's having me come back on Monday for an ultrasound!! A tilted uterus apparently makes it too difficult to pinpoint a due date (though, regardless of what they tell me, this baby will come on Christmas Day - mark my words), so an ultrasound will help clear things up. So I get to see my little one! And yes, the munchkin is only the size of a raspberry right now (I love the produce comparisons), but we'll get to see the beating heart. I truly can not wait.

I planned out the logistics of how yesterday would go in my head for weeks. It was completely the opposite, but it ended up being perfect!
